Marketing Coordinator (Entry-Level) Lexington, KY · Part Time (10–20 hrs/week) · Pay based on experience

Position Summary

Cannabuzz is seeking a creative and organized entry-level Marketing Coordinator. The Marketing Coordinator will assist our Marketing Director with creating content for events, email campaigns, and social media while helping schedule and publish content across platforms.

This is an entry-level role designed for someone looking to build real-world marketing experience. The primary focus of this position is creating visual content—including photography, videography, editing, and social media assets—while learning the fundamentals of brand building, campaign execution, and experiential marketing.

This role also serves as a brand ambassador for Cannabuzz, representing the brand at public-facing events and community activations. The Coordinator will interact directly with customers, support marketing initiatives in-market, and help cultivate positive relationships with event partners, retailers, collaborators, and community stakeholders.

This role is ideal for a student, recent graduate, aspiring content creator, or early-career marketer who wants exposure to multiple aspects of marketing and is excited to learn by doing.

Content Creation & Marketing Support

  • Capture photo and video content for social media, email campaigns, website updates, and promotional materials
  • Edit short-form and long-form content for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other digital channels
  • Create graphics and visual assets that align with brand standards
  • Assist with developing content calendars and campaign schedules
  • Schedule and publish content across social media platforms
  • Support day-to-day content needs including behind-the-scenes footage, product features, and event coverage
  • Organize and maintain photo and video libraries
  • Work directly with Marketing to execute campaigns and promotional initiatives
  • Support development of event signage, promotional materials, and marketing collateral

Brand Ambassador & Event Activation

  • Represent Cannabuzz as a brand ambassador at events, activations, pop-ups, tastings, and community engagements
  • Be present and engaged at public-facing events to interact with customers and create positive brand experiences
  • Support execution of marketing initiatives and promotions in the field
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with event partners, retailers, collaborators, and community organizations
  • Capture live event content and transform it into social-ready assets
  • Help maintain a strong, welcoming, and consistent brand presence across all customer touchpoints
  • Gather customer feedback and market insights to share with internal teams
  • Assist with event setup, breakdown, and coordination as needed

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, current college student, recent graduate or early career professional in Marketing, Communications, Media, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field preferred
  • Basic experience with Canva, CapCut or other design tools
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and trends
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and creative mindset

Preferred Skills

  • Photography or video editing experience
  • Experience creating Reels or short-form content
  • Basic copywriting and caption writing skills
  • Interest in event marketing and consumer engagement
  • Understanding of branding and content strategy

Requirements

  • Ability to travel locally and to events
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, & some holidays

Junior Account Executive Lexington, KY · Part Time (15–20 hrs/week) · Entry-level hourly + incentives

Paid Part-Time Entry-Level Opportunity in the Hemp/CPG Industry

Position Summary

Cannabuzz is seeking an energetic, outgoing, and dependable Junior Account Executive to help support our continued growth. This role will focus on building strong customer relationships, creating new business opportunities, and helping existing accounts succeed through consistent communication, follow up, and support. This entry-level sales role is ideal for a motivated individual looking to build a career in sales, customer relationship management, and business development. For the right person, this position offers the hands-on learning, mentorship, and growth of a paid internship, with real responsibility from day one.

The role includes supporting event activations, in-store merchandising, and sales and marketing initiatives while serving as a positive face of the company.

The successful candidate will have a high level of integrity, be highly organized, self-motivated, coachable, and comfortable communicating with customers in person, over the phone, and through email.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the brand professionally at retail outlets, events, tastings, festivals, and promotional activations
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing customer accounts
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories or channels
  • Conduct sales outreach through phone calls, emails, in-person visits, and events
  • Present products, promotions, and programs to prospective and existing customers
  • Assist with account onboarding, product education, and customer support
  • Track sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions using company CRM
  • Collaborate with Marketing to capture authentic field content, including photos, videos, testimonials and trend insights to support digital and social campaigns
  • Monitor competitive activity, category trends and customer feedback across Kentucky, delivering key insights to inform strategy
  • Support merchandising, product launches, and promotional activities as needed
  • Work toward clear monthly/quarterly/annual goals related to account support, sales-development goals, and business development

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Experience in promotions, hospitality, retail, field marketing, sales, or customer service preferred
  • Confident, polished communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high standard for brand integrity
  • Coachable, highly organized, honest, reliable, professional, and punctual
  • Able to follow established processes and procedures accurately, consistently, and with attention to detail
  • Comfortable using Google Workspace tools
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry, email communication, document management, and use of online systems

Requirements

  • Ability to travel locally between retail accounts and to events
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, & occasional holidays
  • Ability to lift and move event materials (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods
